Big Rock Camp Ground
This camping season is coming to an end! Enjoy the Big Rock camp ground one more time before they close for the season on October 19th. Happy camping!
Fire Department Pancake Breakfast
Join us on Sunday October 12th at 7am to 12pm at the Big Rock Fire Department located at 47W863 E. 2nd St, Big Rock, IL 60511. Bring your family and friends, lets have some fun!
Breakfast will consist of pancakes, sausage, milk, coffee, and juice. There will be a raffle held and donations are appreciated!
Turkey Drop & Food Drive
Come and join us Sunday, November 9th, from 11 am until 1 pm at Plowman’s Park for the Hinckley Area Food Pantry’s biggest fundraiser of the year! This fundraiser helps serve local areas such as Big Rock, Hinckley, Maple Park, Waterman, and Shabbona. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Big Rock Fitness Classes
The Big Rock Park District is calling in residents for Fitness classes October through December! Classes will be located at the Park District Building at 7S405 Madison St. Please email jeanne.ecker@yahoo.com with questions or for registration.
Honest Ab classes take place on Tuesdays from October 21 – December 2 from 8:30 am to 9:05 pm. (classes will not be held 11/4)
Fit & Fun for 55 is also available as well held on Tuesdays October 21 – December 21 at 9:30 am to 10:15 am.
Pricing can be found through the Park District, stay fit everyone!
Royal Jaunt 5k
Come join us by running or walking the Royal Jaunt 5k with us! Register by November 14th at raceroster.com as the 5k takes place November 15th at 8 am at the Hinckley-Big Rock High School!
Bib pickup will be from 6:45 am to 7:45 am, there is a registration fee of $30.

Socktober Sock Drive
From October 1rst to 31rst the Hinckley Big Rock Elementary school is taking donations for socks for those in need. All sizes are welcome, men’s size 10-13 are in high need.
Drop off your donations at the main entrance!
